3rd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE HISTORY OF FREEMASONRY

27th - 29th May 2011

The George Washington Masonic National Memorial, Alexandria, Virginia, U.S.A.

First Announcement

From the beginning the ICHF was always a truly open ‘International’ conference, due to the diversity of countries represented at each of the conferences in 2007 and 2009.

The 2011 conference to be held in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, marks a milestone in the growth of the International Conference by not only attracting participants from across the world but also, for the first time, the conference will be held outside Europe.

For further details please download the first announcement or visit www.northernnetworking.co.uk.

Call for Papers

Since the inception of ICHF more than six years ago it has established itself as the primary conference for academics and others interested in Freemasonry to present papers on all aspects of the subject.

If you would like to submit a paper for consideration, please upload your abstract via the online abstract submission facility before 30th June 2010. Late proposals will not be accepted. All proposals will be subject to anonymous peer review. The outcome of the review of all the proposals will be announced by 17th September 2010.

George Washington Masonic Memorial

George Washington Masonic Memorial

The George Washington Masonic Memorial is more than a colossal memorial and museum. It is a tourist attraction and destination; research center and library; community center; performing arts center and concert hall; banquet and celebration site; and meeting site for local and countless visiting Masonic lodges and organizations.

However, first and foremost, it is a memorial to honor and perpetuate the memory, character and virtues of the man who best exemplifies what Freemasons are and ought to be, Brother George Washington.
